Ingredients
  

Tofu Tenders
  • 14 oz firm tofu drained and pressed
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened plant-based milk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
Honey Mustard Sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the pressed tofu into thick strips resembling tenders.
  3. Mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl.
  4. Place plant-based milk in a second bowl and breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
  5. Dredge each tofu strip in the flour mixture, dip into the milk, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  6. Arrange tofu on the baking sheet and drizzle lightly with olive oil.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  8. Whisk together honey, Dijon mustard, yellow mustard, lemon juice, and garlic powder.
  9. Serve tofu tenders warm with honey mustard sauce for dipping.

Notes

For extra crispiness, use panko breadcrumbs or finish the tenders under the broiler for 2–3 minutes.
