Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the pressed tofu into thick strips resembling tenders.
- Mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl.
- Place plant-based milk in a second bowl and breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
- Dredge each tofu strip in the flour mixture, dip into the milk, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Arrange tofu on the baking sheet and drizzle lightly with olive oil.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Whisk together honey, Dijon mustard, yellow mustard, lemon juice, and garlic powder.
- Serve tofu tenders warm with honey mustard sauce for dipping.
Notes
For extra crispiness, use panko breadcrumbs or finish the tenders under the broiler for 2–3 minutes.
