- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the butter and powdered sugar until light and smooth.
- Mix in the vanilla extract until well incorporated.
- Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Fold in the chopped nuts until evenly distributed.
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12–14 minutes, until the bottoms are lightly golden and the tops remain pale.
- Let cookies cool for 5 minutes, then gently roll them in powdered sugar while still warm.
- Cool completely, then roll again in powdered sugar for a snowy finish.

These cookies store well in an airtight container for up to a week. For variation, try using almonds or hazelnuts, or add a pinch of cinnamon for extra warmth.
